Exploring textile sculpture

Here it is! This piece was inspired by the tranquility of flowing water. Here in Minnesota, we are surrounded by creeks, rivers, and countless lakes. Water has a uniquely calming effect, and this piece reflects that sense of peace and serenity. Like much of my work, its rich texture speaks to the complexity and many layers of human experience.

In my recent tapestries I have been playing more with 3D sculptural elements and texture. It brings out the organic and tactile nature of fiber art.
